If you have kids, you know they’re watching TV, reading books, playing video games, surfing the net and viewing movies (or, if they’re really young, they’ll at least be doing these things soon). But have you ever stopped to consider how the media your kids interact with is affecting them?
This infographic breaks down the benefits and drawbacks of media exposure among children, including how long kids tend to interact with different sources of media, from books to DVDs, even their homework. While 73% of parents want to limit the amount of television their children watch, 70% of daycare centers rely on television during an average day.
Surprisingly, despite the fact that most parents are concerned about the media their children encounter, only one third of all parents use parental privacy settings. What about you, do you take control of your child’s viewing habits and internet usage?
